Hero

Have you ever missed someone that had to die?
And you just sit and wonder why?
He was so young, died at twenty-three,
So much more to life that he didn't even get to see
He will always be loved,
Knowing he is above
He will always be in my heart,
Even though we are far apart
He will always be my hero,
And all my tears will truly show

  1. I like the subject of your poem in general. It's a sad topic, but it wasn't necessarily portrayed in a bad way. Wondering about death is something everyone does, and you give a glimpse of that in your writing. :) Very nicely done.

  2. Reading this poem and your first one, I've noticed you have a knack for rhyming! A lot of people think rhyming can be some what childish, but I think if the writer uses rhyming in a good context (which you have) I believe that, that writer should embrace the process of rhyming. Coming up with specific words, making sure they make sense, etc. Keep up the good work! :)
