I.
A scream,
A cry for help.
But no one sees
The pain you hold back.
II.
Beaten,
Alone,
Will anyone save me?
III.
The pressure to be perfect
Yells at you.
You cannot compete.
IV.
Your dad comes home from fighting in the war,
Your mom does not have cancer,
Safety and relief.
V.
Your newborn baby boy,
Sitting calmly in your arms,
Healthy.
VI.
You won the lottery!
Looking at the ticket,
Seeing the winning numbers.
No more struggling with money--
Bliss.
VII.
Your bond with your grandma
Is now over,
As she passes away.
VIII.
The heartfelt note your best friend left you,
Before he committed suicide.
